Celebration Sunday
June 29 at 10:30am
On Sunday, June 29, the WBC Adult Choir and the Jubilee Children's Choir will present a patriotic musical, "Freedom: A Salute to American Liberty." Members of the different branches of the Armed Forces will be recognized as part of this celebration. We extend an invitation to all veterans and to those who are currently serving our country to attend the 10:30a service.
Kentucky Mission Trip Update
Mt. Sterling, KY July 14-18
We had our first team meeting this past Wednesday and we now have 17 people interested in going to Kentucky this summer. We thank God for the $2,382 that has been given so far toward our needed amount of $5,000. We will be helping a new church plant in Mt. Sterling. In addition to some construction projects we are planning to conduct a three-day VBS for children K-5 through those who have completed the 5th grade. Keep praying as we make our preparation. God Rewards Our Work
The GROW Ministry Teams will recess their weekly meetings for the summer beginning May 27. They will resume on September 9. We would like to use the month of August to recruit and train new members as well as offer retraining for any current members who may be interested. All first time visitors will be contacted by the staff or a volunteer throughout the summer. We look forward to continuing our outreach program after the summer break.
Weekday Preschool
We have had a good year in Weekday Preschool this year with 10 enrolled in our 2 Year Classes, 11 in our 3 Year Classes and 22 in our 4 Year Classes. We will conclude this school year on Thursday, May 29 with our graduation program. Everyone is invited to share in this event at 7:00pm in the Worship Center. We appreciate all the support and encouragement from the church to help this ministry be a success.
As we prepare for the 2008-09 school year, we have openings in our 2 Year-2 Day Class and in our 4 Year Class. If you have family or friends who have children and are interested in the program, please ask them to call the church office at 647-2315.
WBC Summer Care
Ages 5 years - 5th grade
7:30am until 5:30pm
The summer of 2008 will be an awesome summer filled with refreshing experiences for the children enrolled in our very first Summer Care session. We began on Monday, June 9 and will run through August 15 with the exception of July 4th. Our focus will be on building Christian character with many theme based activities entwined into each day and enriched by several off-campus field trips. We would like to thank you for your help and support. We are here for the children!
